There are so many different country night clubs that are located in San Antoino. You will be able to find them by doing a thorough internet search. There are so many for people that love country music to attend and have a nice time. Cowboys Dancehall is just one of those nightclubs where people can go to dance to their favorite country music. Tra’s Country is yet another country nightclub located for the convenience of many people in San Anotino.

No matter where chili originated, it was perfected in Texas. As a native Texan and Tex-Mex food fanatic, I can say that San Antonio has some the best chili restaurants in the Lone Star State. A simple stroll down the Riverwalk District will bring you face to face with some of the best chili peddlers in San Antonio. While just about every restaurant in the area claims to have the best Texas chili, here are my top recommendations. My first choice has always been Biga Riverwalk Restaurant. Not only do they serve amazing chili, everything on the menu is top notch. The next stop on your tour of Texas Chili should be is the Salt Grass Steakhouse. Do not be put off by the fact that this is a chain restaurant. They have perfected their chili, as well as most almost every other menu item. My last recommendation for Texas chili is Casa Rio Mexican Restaurant. This is a moderately priced Mexican restaurant that sits directly on the Riverwalk. Not only is the chili wonderful, Casa Rio attempts to keep the menu as authentic as possible. In all honesty, anywhere you go in San Antonio will serve some great chili.Still bored? Here are a few of the things you should keep in mind before you hop on that plane and head to the Lone Star state
Weather: Decide when you’re coming before you buy your ticket to avoid the high highs and the low lows that can be common here in San Antone. If you don’t want to get stuck sweating bullets, look online to find out when’s the best time to make a sojourn.
Check Sports Schedules: If you want to take in a pro game while you’re here you’ll want to check the Spurs’ game schedule before you take off. They only play at home a couple times a week even during the season so make sure you plan accordingly.
Check for Specials: There are often great specials offered by San Antonio businesses in an attempt to bump up traffic – take advantage of these great deals and make your trip cheaper than you ever thought possible by looking online or on message boards for specials.

While in Texas, stop by and sample some of the country bar in the city of San Antonio. It’s not just about line dancing and karaoke anymore. The country western bars in San Antonio are culturally diverse and welcome many different lifestyles. Lounges and eateries are peppered over this southwest town. Filled with the twang of the steel guitar, country bars are down home and comfortable for the people that love the lifestyle and the music that is distinctly country. There are, of course, dance clubs and nightlife that appeals to everyone in and out of town; but for those people that love the country way of life look no further than San Antonio for the clubs, pubs and bars that have that down to the bone.

Get nitty-gritty while in Texas and have some fun dancing along with the beat to country musics best and brightest stars. Join in a line dance or two and find the rhythm that everyone talks about. Karaoke may not be for everyone but it is definitely appealing to those that want to try their hand at being a star in their particular choice of bar. While everyone loves their own watering hole, San Antonio offers some great spots.

Everyone enjoys letting loose every now and then. What better way is there to let loose than dancing the night away? San Antonio, Texas, offers some of the most thrilling dance places in the country.

Cowboys Dancehall is a favorite venue amongst locals of San Antonio. For vibrant country music that will keep one rodeoing all night long, Cowboys Dancehall is the place to go. Frequent visitors of Cowboys Dancehall love the friendly atmosphere and live music.

For a more youthful dance place, Mix Night Club offers a free, fun, and exciting atmosphere. Customers enjoy this dance place for its “college-vibe” and attractive bar tenders. Mix Night Club is located on N. St. Mary’s St. in San Antonio.

For an edgy experience, The Saint offers anything but innocent saint-like dancing. This is the place to go for a wild and fun evening, filled with theatrical shows and live entertainment. Located on North Main Avenue, this is a good place for younger crowds looking for adventure.

For crowds of all ages, Bonham Exchange is undoubtedly the best dance place in San Antonio. The architecture of this dance club is stunning, and the music is just as appealing. Located at 411 Bonham, you should be sure not to miss this nightclub gem.

These are the best dance places that San Antonio has to offer. There is much more culture to San Antonio than simply cowboys and country music!

If you’re planning a visit to San Antonio you might as well start practicing saying “I’ll have a Ranger Creek” since the brewstillery announced that it will start delivering its beer very soon to a select group of fine restaurants and bars in the Alamo city. The company currently has four beers lined up for their debut including a South Texas Lager, an OPA (Oatmeal Pale Ale), a Mesquite Smoked Porter, and their La Bestia Aimable (Belgian-style dark strong ale).Personally, we can’t wait to taste the awesomely perfect-sounding (and so genuinely Texan-sounding) Mesquite Smoked Porter which is described as a dark mahogany porter with a nose of “cured meat, pepper, leather, dark roast coffee, and a distinct mesquite wood aroma.”Now before you think yuck based on the descriptor of “cured meat,” remember this is the nose of the beer only, and not an actual ingredient (we’re borrowing the “nose” term from wine aficionados which refers to the “smell or bouquet” of the liquid). We can already imagine the beautiful pairing of this beer with a San Antonio sunset barbecue and accompanied with a selection of blue and peppery cheeses. If we still haven’t won you over and you’re professing “nope, I’m a diehard whiskey drinker,” you’ll be happy to read that the brewstillery (there’s that word again) will be releasing its first lot of experimental, small batch whiskey this spring, as well.So it seems when you order a Ranger Creek you might just end up having to be a lot more specific, especially in a few years after they’ve also released their Texas Bourbon (which is still aging as you read this)!

It’s not too early to start planning for one of the hottest bands slated to hit San Antonio this year that’s right, Bon Jovi is set to storm AT&T Center on March 17th and we know it’s going to be a rowdy good time since San Antonio knows how to party better than any other city in Texas (yeah, Houston thinks they have it covered with their rodeo, but they’re not gonna have Jon around this year, are they)? As far as we can see the band’s only Texas venue is right here in San Antonio (and we are so honored that they chose us). According to the buzz on the street the party has already started in anticipation of the big night and it’s going to only get more rowdy as time goes on and folks from the rest of the great state of Texas (and beyond) flock to our River Walk fame to get a sample of our hospitality and what it’s like to live in this great city. We’ll make them welcome of course, since that’s our style; but we’ll also be humming “It’s My Life” to ourselves because we’re the ones that are lucky enough to enjoy the crisp Texas spring temperatures averaging in the mid-60s while places up north might still be contending with ice storms. Can you say “the panhandle?” All gloating aside, our best tip for right now is to secure a couple of tickets for you and the one you sing “Thank You For Loving Me” to every night and get ready to present them on Valentine’s Day tightly wrapped with a big red bow. And then get ready to party: San Antonio style!

With the economy the way it is, a trip to England isn’t as plausible as it used to be. However, one visit to the Lion and Rose at Alamo Heights and your cravings for the U.K. will be completely fulfilled.Established in 2004, the Alamo Heights location was the first Lion and Rose pub. Now, the pub is serving up delicious British cuisine and events at four other Texas locations: Forum, Park North, Stone Oak, and Westlake (in Austin).Naturally, the Lion and Rose Pub are well known for their traditional British cuisine. For an appetizer, try a Scottish Egg (an egg covered in meat, breading, and fried) or the English Chips with Guinness Cheese and Bacon Dip. For the main course, choose from a Shepherd’s Pie or the popular Fish and Chips. The pub even keeps up with British culture, including one of the country’s favorite foreign dishes: Central London Chicken Curry. While the food is delicious, nightlifers will love the Alamo Height’s weekly events, too. Every day of the week, the venue holds a happy hour. Arrive at 4pm and receive drink specials until 7pm; such as 1 off certain domestic bottles and all well drinks. Every Tuesday and Thursday night at 8pm, the venue hosts trivia night. Better yet, Thursday nights is also ladies night (which starts at 7pm). Events change depending on what venue you visit; for example, the remaining locations offer a Karaoke night.Yet, the best feature for partygoers is Lion and Rose Double Decker Bus. The infamous British icon can be booked for private events as well as a Lion and Rose pub crawl- right-o chaps! Each location is open from 11am to 2am daily. So for a truly British nightlife experience, stop by one of the five Lion and Rose Pubs.
